Mr. Robert Windell Adams

Robert Windell Adams was born in Newton County, Georgia on April 4, 1930, to Samuel R. and Georgia Adams. Robert was the second of the couple’s five children; Samuel C., William, Thomas and George. At an early age, Robert, nicknamed “Moon”, joined Grace United Methodist Church. Over the years he became a loyal and faithful United Methodist man. On February 16, 1955, Robert married the love of his life, Essie Mae Johnson, who would precede him in death on August 26, 2001. Their union was blessed with six children; James, Anita, Marie, Joyce, Sarah and Steven. On August 5, 2022, Robert transitioned peacefully in his sleep, leaving a long and loving legacy with fond memories. He is survived by his six children; Mr. and Mrs. James (Valeria) Adams, Ms. Anita Adams, Mrs. Marie Adams Owens,Mr. and Mrs. Joyce Adams (Nelson) Brown, Mrs. Sarah Adams Yeary, Mr. and Mrs. Steven (Demetria) Adams; sixteen grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Sonya) Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Ramon (Cheri) Gant, Fielding Robert Cloud, Mr. and Mrs. Nichole (Sean, Sr.) Jackson, Latianna Gant, Mr. and Mrs. Jason (Jessica) Brown, Sharell Barnes, Darcell Barnes, Mr. and Mrs. Shavon (Barrett) Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. Lauren (Dakel) Patterson, Brittany Adams, Herschel Barnes, II, Angelita Owens, Robert Yeary, Steven Westbrook Adams, Simone Yeary; twenty-six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; Josiah Ramon Gant and Harper LaMarie Gant; one brother, William Adams of Savannah; brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Willie C. (Tommie) Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur (Eunice) Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Willie H. (Bertha) Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Valencia) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tereta (Larry) Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Harriet (Egenoise) Martin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Celebration of Life for Mr. Robert W. Adams will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Grace United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Lawnwood Memorial Park. His viewing will be from 12:00 Noon - 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 12, 2022. The Celebration of Life Services will be recorded and streamed live.
